If at first you don’t succeed, try doing what your coach told you to do the first time.

A good coach can make even the hardest game worthwhile. They can bring a group of strangers together and create a community. They can make us want to get out there and give it our all, even when we’re already exhausted.
Coaching football is about more than just knowing the game. And coaching community football takes a special kind of big-hearted person.

If you want to share your love of football with the next generation of young athletes, we would love to hear from you.

All coaches will be provided with the necessary training and updates.

 FAQs

  • Our season starts in July. In an ideal year with adequate volunteers, we would also have spring training programs.

We practice three days a week in our regular season, and have games on Sundays. We understand that we can’t expect our volunteers to put their personal life and work on hold through football season though, and we are trying to build a collaborative coaching community that allows for flexibility and prevents burnout.
If you can volunteer any of your time, we would like to hear from you. Let’s see what we can make work.

  • If you know football, that is obviously a bonus. It isn’t a requirement though. We can always use helpers who are great with kids and have leadership qualities that will inspire our young athletes. Coaches will be placed in positions relevant to their experience and coaching abilities.

All coaches will be required to take a series of training programs, both online and in person. These are related to safety, ethical decisions, and football. All volunteers working closely with the teams are also required to complete a police records check.
